Royston meets with the New Health Secretary

I met with the new Secretary of State for Health, Matt Hancock, to discuss how we can recruit more GPs in Southampton. There are many surgeries which can offer appointments relatively quickly and others which struggle. GPs are our first point of contact when we feel unwell and if we don’t get the system working well patients will suffer or go to A&E. The Government are committed to recruiting 5000 extra GPs.
