I attended the World Parkinson’s day Drop-in Session in Parliament. Not enough people understand what it is like to live with Parkinson’s or to care for those with the condition. I spoke with Vivian, who kindly shared with me, her experience of caring for her husband and of the work she does as part of the Parkinson’s community.

Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world and there are over 40 different symptoms of the disease. More needs to be done to ensure that this condition is diagnosed and treated early on and that there is adequate support for carers and families who support patients or family members with the condition.
