Yesterday there was a debate in the House of Commons on the Fire Safety Bill. I and a fellow MP, Stephen McPartland had tabled a number of amendments to the Bill which sought to ensure that no leaseholder would be held liable for fire safety remediation work. Although unfortunately there was not the opportunity to vote on the amendment, the campaign continues.
We can confirm that the amendments will soon be tabled again in the House of Lords so we can continue our search for a solution with the Government to protect leaseholders. We will announce when the amendments have been tabled again as it happens, which could be as early as Friday.
The campaign continues and we urge the Government to work with us to find a solution
