It is great news that nine Southampton based cultural organisations will benefit from £1.18 million from the Culture Recovery Fund. This will help organisations that have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic to stay afloat, providing them with support over a 6-month period to tide them over the winter.

Organisations including The Stage Door, Solent Sky Museum and A-Space have all been awarded a share of the funding. We have a proud cultural heritage in Southampton which supports many jobs and contributes much to the life of the city. This significant cash boost shows that the Government is not only serious about levelling-up, but wants to ensure that Southampton bounces back as quickly as possible.
