I’d like to wish everyone who is waiting for confirmation of their A-Level results the very best of luck for tomorrow. Although it hasn’t been possible for exams to be sat as normal this year, it is good to see that the Government has acted to ensure that no one  is let down by unfair results.

The news that students can take the highest grade from their mock exams, estimated grades or a back up exam later in the year is a good one. This means that no student will be disadvantaged by a computer as we have seen happening in Scotland.

We are lucky to have many schools and colleges in Southampton. Teachers have been working very hard over lockdown to support the children of key workers and providing online tuition. I am sure all are looking forward to being back in the classroom in September to help create opportunities and broaden the horizons of young people.
