I was very pleased to see the confirmation of the news by the Prime Minister that bars, cafes and restaurants will be allowed to reopen with appropriate precautions in place from 4th July.
From 4th July, as long as business can operate in a Covid secure way, cafes, pubs and restaurants will be allowed to reopen. Hairdressers, hotels, bed and breakfasts and campsites will also be allowed to reopen along with cinemas, museums, galleries and theme parks. Libraries, social clubs and community centres will also be allowed to welcome back visitors.
The PM’s announcement on pub re-opening is just the news many of us have been waiting for. Publicans have had a really tough few months and I know their customers can’t wait to meet their friends to share a pint in a sensible, socially distanced way. I will most definitely be visiting my local as soon as I can.
Why did 331 Conservative MPs vote down a motion that called for health and social care staff to be routinely tested for COVID-19 regardless of symptoms.?
