Yesterday I was invited to the official opening of Room2 Southampton’s first ‘hometel’ on Queen’s Terrace. It was great to join the Mayor and to explore Room2 to learn about their unique offering.

The hotel works by having apartment style living with the service of a hotel. This flexible approach works really well for people who are staying in Southampton for longer periods, or those who wish to have access to more facilities than a normal hotel.

There are 71 rooms with views over Queens Park and the harbour with fully equipped kitchens, large king sized beds and plenty of space to work or relax.
