I welcome today’s announcement by the Government that Southampton will be receiving an additional £190,285 of funding as our share of the national Pothole Fund to deal with potholes. This money will help repair thousands of extra potholes in Southampton.

With the current state of our roads following the recent harsh winter, it is great to see more funding from the Government to help Southampton City Council fill potholes which cause damage to our vehicles and disrupt our road networks. Even better, this money is ring-fenced, so Southampton City Council will only be able to spend it on potholes.
