I had the opportunity to take part in an exercise with Guide Dogs to experience what it is like for those with visual impairments to use a guide dog. Abandoned shopping trolleys carelessly left on high streets or on pavements, shops leaving ‘A’ boards out and people thoughtlessly parking on pavements all cause those with visual impairments problems.
Dear Mr Smith i strongly urge you and the blind charity involved in this to monitor parking on the and across the public footpath outside the Mazda Car Sales at the top of Whites Road. When the police station was there i complained to them who got the city council involved and i was told by the council that Mazda claim they own the footpath but the council disagreed and said they would MONITOR it but NOTHING was ever done and i gave up the fight because i felt i was banging my head against a brick wall.
Mazda has said it is there customers that park on the old petrol forecourt entrance (MARKED KEEP CLEAR ) by the window of the showroom but my wife and i have seen cars being parked there early in the morning by staff wearing Mazda badged clothing while pedestrians step off the path onto the road.
