The British Military Wives Choirs are working on recording an album of music to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War next year.

This unique and special project sees the Military Wives Choirs (of which there are more than 70 in the UK and overseas) coming together with military bands from across all three services to create an album like no other, with Remembrance at its heart. The album encompasses music from ages past and present, referencing upbeat First World War marching songs, iconic regimental and service marches, beautifully contemplative remembrance pieces, and contemporary songs reflecting our choirs’ world, all with a fresh take through creative arrangements and collaboration with world-class military musicians.

The Portsmouth Military Wives Choir, which has several members from Southampton, are particularly honoured to be a part of such a special commemorative project.

This album cannot be recorded unless they receive enough pre-orders for it through a pledge music campaign for the Military Wives Choirs by 16th December 2017.
Please do take a look and pre-order if you would like to be a part of this excellent musical project.
