Hundreds of Southampton Year 11’s completed the National Citizen Service course this summer. This involved going away on a residential, having to budget and cook meals, followed by developing a social action project. In the process, they raised thousands of pounds for charity and had a great time.

I was invited to speak at their Graduation Ceremony and it was a real pleasure to join them and to hear about what they had achieved.

If you are in Year 11, or know someone who is, then encourage them to take part next summer.
