Today saw the launch of YoBike in Southampton.
This is a short-term bike hire scheme that works by downloading an app, that you then use to unlock a bike with a code. The bikes are self locking and there are no docking stations.
It is launching with 120 bikes across the city and depending on how popular this becomes they hope to grow the number of bikes.
