Good news in the Echo today with over 1000 jobs due to be created on the former Ford site in Swaythling. In particular, I am pleased to see that Aston Martin have recognised the advantage of having a base in Southampton with plans to open a showroom on this site.

Heathrow Southern Rail has announced plans to run a direct rail service from Southampton to Heathrow, making the journey to Heathrow Airport significantly quicker and more passenger friendly.
