Yesterday members of the Southampton Veterans Breakfast Club brought a Deputation to Southampton City Council’s Full Council meeting calling for support for an Armed Forces Day event in our city in 2018. This was enhanced by a Motion from Councillor David Fuller calling for the same. Great work by both the Veterans and Councillor Fuller. I will work with the organisers of the event to help bring a fitting and ambitious event to our city.
