Yesterday evening I presented a petition on behalf of the residents who live on or around the junction of Spring Road and Station Road. This junction has been an accident blackspot for many years and has resulted in a number of road traffic accidents in recent months and as recently as this week.
My petition calls on Parliament to urge Southampton City Council to review the safety at the junction and outline what steps will be taken to improve safety for road and pedestrian users. I have also written to the Leader of Southampton City Council calling on him to introduce measures to ensure the safety of this junction.
