The UK car industry produced 159,726 cars in September, up 0.9% on the same month last year.
Of those, 123,119 cars were exported, up 5% on last year. Those are the latest figures from The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
Southampton Docks are at the heart of the UK’s car export industry, so these figures are excellent news for our city.
