The EU referendum was fiercely contested and some (nearly half) are not happy with the result. However, the debate and the vote cannot be allowed to be used as an excuse for abusive, intolerant and racist behaviour.

This country welcomes immigrants, I welcome immigrants that come here to work, contribute and improve their lives and enrich ours.

The voters have made their decision to leave the EU and government will implement their wishes. We will not tolerate racism and racists so let’s stand together to eradicate the divisive attitudes that still too frequently blight our communities.
