Oxford Street is the jewel in the crown of Southampton’s night time economy, boasting some of the city’s best eateries and bars. However, this reputation is being damaged by the state of the paving and the actions of drivers. I have called on the Council to pedestrianise the street to allow this area to continue to flourish, providing not just a good place to eat and drink but also supporting dozens of local jobs.
