On Sunday I witnessed Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service break the record for the World's largest naan bread. Deputy Chief Officer of HFRS, Dave Curry, led a team of quality chefs and fire fighters to officially claim the World Record. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-28189969
On Saturday I launched my bid to become Southampton Itchen's next Member of Parliament. I was joined by dozens of helpers from across Hampshire and Wiltshire and between us we managed to contact thousands of voters across the constituency.

Southampton is a great city with a great football club, an incredibly diverse population and the potential to rival any city in Europe. It has fantastic transport links to London by train and motorway; one of the busiest ports in the country, as well as an airport serving over 40 European destinations with links to hundreds of destinations worldwide.
Monday 2nd June was Southampton Conservative’s pre-council Group Meeting. We discussed who would second nominations for the new Mayor and who would propose the new Sheriff, as well as discussing the papers for the Council Meeting
On Sunday 1st June Royston held a thank-you BBQ for all those who helped in the local elections. Royston said “Without the help of our volunteers we wouldn’t be in the position we are now. The General Election is less than a year away and we are in good shape”.
On Thursday 22nd May 2014 Local and European Elections were held in Southampton. Thanks to all the hard work undertaken by our team we held all three seats we were defending and gained more votes across the constituency than Labour.
Royston Smith and Southampton Itchen Conservatives hosted Daniel Hannan MEP at a drinks reception on Thursday 1st May at the Bitterne Conservative Club. Dan talked about the future of our relationship with the EU with a Conservative majority after the 2015 General Election.
